Random fact/stat of the day (or even week)
Just thought it'd be pretty cool to see a random fact or stat on the login screen. e.g. # characters with x title, amount of times x green has dropped, helpful little things too like you can split a stack by holding shift (I saw many were late to that in another thread) etc etc. Preferably daily, but even just weekly would be pretty cool.

Yeah why not, if doable. Don't think there's a way to tell how many times a green or any item has dropped.
Would be fun logging in seeing:
"There are now 43874 gwamms ingame"
"Underworld has been completed 517 times today"
"24 accounts was banned the last hour"

I don't really see the need for it, but I wouldn't be against it.
Such things are always interesting.
Humans (and even more so gamers) like statistics and figures.

This seems very similar to what happens in Call of Duty: Black Ops (it may happen in other games w/in the franchise) but something that would be very interesting

I like this. One thing I would also like to see, similar to this, would be say, typing /kills, lets you see how many kills your character has killed. Not your HEROES, not kills your PARTY has gotten, foes that died when your hit was the very last one to hit them. Just as a way to see in relation to how many foes are in an area, how many your character actually gets.

Wouldn't be opposed to this. Not a huge priority, but would be fun.

Daily stats would surely be more fun than the weekend announcement or the latest story of which type of hack is causing ANet support the greatest number of tickets.
Stats that I'd like to see given that I'm putting together 7h builds ATM:
"The most popular enchantment in PvE in the last 24 hours is Mending, with a total of 10031337 casts."
"The most used non-mercenary hero is Dunkoro. He was added to 9999 parties in the last 24 hours."
"[Insert Zaishen Mission here] has a completion rate of 67%."
I also wouldn't mind a tip-of-the-day kind of thing on loading screens while zoning (obviously going away when you've loaded the next area). That would be useful as a reminder for the infrequently-used controls. UT2004, released before GW, made quite good use of this, especially since the buttons for the tips change if you changed the default controls.

While pointless it'd be interesting to see any kind of stats like those suggested.
